Theseus Lite Stats Update

5456 total downloads
55 ratings.

Funny how it’s about 1/100 of the people who download who take the time to rate the application. This has been a pretty consistent trend.

I don’t have the stats for ppl who bought the game (cause that’s I’m reselling through an american) but I’m almost willing to bet it’s 1/100 of people who buy it too.

That’d mean like 50 purchases of the game. Not getting rich quickly :)
Not yet at least.

Theseus stats

3942 downloads. A bit under expectations.

These are the current ratings:
5 stars – 15
4 stars – 19
3 stars – 3
2 stars – 1
1 stars – 3

An average of ~4 stars

So I’m closing in on the 5k downloads mark. Maybe in a week or two.
Since Market classifies downloads in ranges like 1k-5k and 5k-10k it might give a slight boost to be in that upper range.

Next update will probably fix an exotic crash issue and maybe improve sounds further.

Theseus Sound Support

Updated Theseus and it now has sound support.

I had neglected it before as not really relevant to my puzzle game, but sound is really an important part for immersion. Not only that, it provides a nice way of informing the user of events in a subtle way.

Of course it also gave me a reason to update. Theseus was at 3228 downloads a minute ago. When the stats update I expect it to be 4k+.

Android Market: Updating your app and get back into the “Just In” list.

Just updated Theseus, which made the download count bounce from 1.35k to 2k in 2 days. It was down to ~10 downloads a day before this.
So if you wait a bit over a week and update your app you get back in to the “Just In” list; which gives your app considerable visibility in Android Market.

Some people seem to abuse this. The top developer according to androlib’s stats has 200+ apps which are updated continuously, doubtfully containing anything new. http://uk.androlib.com/scoreboard.aspx?board=topdevdownload
